Water-Soluble Corrosion Inhibitors

Water-soluble quaternary amines are used as corrosion inhibitors. Quats based on alky pyridine are excellent for protection in systems with hydrogen sulfide present. The coconut and ADBAC quats are film forming compounds that work excellently across water-gathering and disposal systems. Imidazoline sulfate quats have the advantage of being dispersible into very high-salinity brines.

Water-soluble applications are often added into the produced fluids on a continual basis. Depending on the treatment conditions, we recommend formulating intermediates into products. Factors affecting these formulas include both the system conditions and the environmental application conditions. We can assist in formulating finished formulas, especially if you require them to be freeze stable or high flash.
